Volunteer

Volunteers are essential if we are to provide a quality service to our clients. Here at Homeless Action in Barnet we have a dynamic team of over 30 volunteers who help us in a variety of Ways.

Volunteering Opportunities exist

• In the Day Centre
• In the Tenancy Support Team
• On the Fundraising Committee
• Food Collection

Volunteers usually work one or more sessions a week and sessions are 9.00am - 12.00noon or 12.00noon to 3.00pm Monday to Friday. 
If these hours would be difficult for you please contact us to discuss what you could offer.

All volunteers are required to

• Provide references
• Have a CRB check
• Work in a close knit team
• Observe Confidentiality
• Receive training

Donate

Clothing - Good quality mens clothing is always welcome. It helps if it is seasonally appropriate as we don't have much storage space

Food - Tinned or other non-perishable food can always be used either in the Day Centre or given to clients

Household Items - Small household items for people setting up home. (We cannot accept furniture or electrical goods)

To donate using a credit/debit card click on the link at the top of the page 'Give Now' this will take you to a secure site. Other donations can be sent to the day centre.

You may also want to think about leaving the Day Centre a legacy in your will or making a regular donation by direct debit. For more information please contact the day centre

If you are a tax payer please 'Gift Aid' your donation - forms are available from the day centre by email or phone

Become a Friend of Homeless Action in Barnet

Groups and Individual friends are regular supporters of our work and are invited to attend events throughout the year and receive our newsletter. To become a friend contact the day centre by email or by phone.
