Volunteers at the Day Centre are covered by the Rehabilitaion of Offenders Act 1974 (Exemptions) (Amendment) Order 1986. This means that you have to declare any convictions you may have even if they would be regarded as "spent". You may be required to obtain a DBS check. Having a conviction or caution does not necessarily affect your application to volunteer.
